Your HoneyLove Garden Organizer

To start, let me just tell you how truly excited we are to have you join us on our journey toward more and bigger gardens!

We are at the very beginning, but I see fruitful times ahead for all of us!

I know you’re excited to get started with your free organizer (I would be) – so let me get right to it. Then, if you want to know more about who we are, you can continue reading toward the end.

Getting Started

1. In your email, there is a link that will take you to a login page for trello. It looks like this:

2. Click on the Login In button.

3. Enter the email you used to signup.

4. Enter the temporary password I provided in your welcome email. If you are successful, you should arrive at a screen that looks similar to this:

In the uppermost right hand corner will be a circle that has your initials in it. Click on it. You can look at the image below for the exact location.

    6. A little menu will pop out. Click on Manage Account. an example is below:

    7. The next thing you want to do is look at the menu that is displayed across the top of the page. Click on Security.

Here is where you can update your password.

Don’t forget to save your changes!

P.S. As long as you’re on this page, I highly recommend turning on Two-Step verification. If you have trouble, let me know and I’ll help you out.

    Moving On!

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s go into the organizer, itself.

Let’s actually begin with a little terminology.

The first thing you’re going to notice are a bunch of columns. These columns are called Lists. They have titles like, “Archives”, “Waiting to Germinate”, “TO DO: Pest Control” and so on.

Next, you’ll see Cards. Each of these cards contain a boat load of information inside.

When you click on a card, you’ll get to see all the information I’ve already added to it. For example, if we click on the Soil Block Recipe Card, you’ll see a recipe containing all the materials you need, as well as instructions, to make the perfect soil blocks.

And if you were to open any of the plant cards, you would see all kinds of information I’ve already collected about that plant.

Let’s Make Sure You’re On The Right Board

By the way, a Board is the window that opens up which contains all of your lists and cards. I’ve set you up with two boards.

One board is the Hardiness Zone Board. You can’t edit this board, but you can copy cards from this board to your board. The other board is named after you. This is your personal board which you can edit all you want. I won’t be able to see what is going on with your personal board from this point forward.

I’ve done the work of duplicating all the cards I have completed, so far. Certainly, there is much more to come. Here is what you can expect:

    • More cards containing additional plant varieties
    • More cards containing tip sheets, charts, guides, and other gools
    • Additional customizations such as harvest dates, germination dates, container IDs, etc.
    • Automatic reminders letting you know when it’s time to sow seeds indoors, when to harvest, etc.

I already have these features on my personal board, but have found that I can’t transfer those notes to you automatically. That means I’ll be spending quite a bit of time in front of the computer getting you access to those bells and whistles. So please, be patient as I get this started! Once I have the system down, everything will go much more quickly.

    Wrapping It Up

Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress. As such, I want to hear all about your projects, what plants you’re preparing and growing, and any struggles you might be having if you’d like a little help figuring things out.

Please let me know how things are going!

There’s so much to show you, but I fear I’ve already made this guide overwhelming. (I’ll work on a better version).

To help make things a little easier and get you familiar with all the cool things you can do with this organizer quickly, I want to make myself available for live Zoom Q&A calls on a weekly basis. If you can’t make it, please be sure to email me with any questions you might have. I’ll still answer them on the zoom calls. Then I’ll send out replay links.

Okay, that’s going to be it for now.

    Talk soon!
