Hi, I’m Mel—
🛠️ I design systems.
🌿 I build gardens.
🥕 I grow food my family depends on.
But I wasn’t born with a green thumb or a tool belt. Like a lot of you, I started with good intentions… and a lot of trial and error.
I’ve been there:
😣 Beds that dried out by noon, no matter how much I watered
😣 Materials I couldn’t return—because I didn’t know what I actually needed
😣 Builds that looked great… until they warped, cracked, or collapsed
😣 Crops that vanished to pests, disease, or bad timing
😣 YouTube advice that contradicted itself every 10 minutes
😣 The sinking feeling of wondering, “Am I just not cut out for this?”
But I kept going.
Because I believe this:
👉 Gardening should get easier every year—not harder.
That’s my mission. It’s what I teach. It’s how I design. And it’s the heart of everything inside this community.
Yes, I was a Master Gardener through the University Extension program.
But more importantly, I’ve spent years figuring out how to:
✔ Build raised beds that barely need watering or weeding
✔ Grow food that actually cuts our grocery bill
✔ Create systems that are simple, sturdy, and don’t fall apart when life gets busy
I started this space because more and more of us are realizing:
❌ We don’t want to rely on contractors or overpriced, low-quality produce
❌ We’re done with one-size-fits-all advice that ignores our space, timing, or needs
❌ We want systems that support our real lives—not add more stress to them
So if you’ve ever thought:
“I’m too overwhelmed to start.”
“I don’t want to waste money (again).”
“I want a garden that actually works for me.”
You’re in the right place.
🤝 This is a space where we build smarter.
🌱 Grow stronger.
💬 And support each other with real tools—not just “tips.”
Come on in. Ask questions. Share what’s working for you. Let’s grow a garden that doesn’t fall apart when life gets busy.
